Director of Relationship Management

Meet Lee Sutton, Director of Relationship Management at Artesys. In this role, Lee focuses on strengthening advisor relationships, enhancing the client experience, and supporting the continued growth of Artesys’ relationship management strategy.  With more than 25 years of experience in retirement services, Lee has built his career around helping financial advisors and retirement plan sponsors succeed through strategic partnerships and exceptional service. Before joining Artesys, he held leadership roles focused on advisor engagement, client relationship strategy, and retirement plan solutions, earning a reputation for developing high-performing teams, navigating industry change, and delivering meaningful results.  Having worked alongside the Artesys platform throughout much of his career, Lee brings a unique perspective on the evolving needs of advisors, plan sponsors, and participants. He is passionate about helping clients maximize the value of fiduciary-focused retirement solutions while fostering long-term relationships built on trust, responsiveness, and collaboration.

Industry & educational background

Lee’s professional background includes leadership across relationship management, advisor engagement, retirement plan consulting, and client service within the defined contribution retirement industry. He is a graduate of Wabash College and previously held FINRA Series 26, 6, and 63 registrations, along with Life and Health Insurance licenses.

Beyond the job

Outside the office, Lee enjoys spending time with his family and supporting his two teenage student-athletes. Whether cheering on his daughter at figure skating competitions or his son on the soccer field, he appreciates the dedication, teamwork, and perseverance that athletics inspire.  A Colorado resident for more than 20 years, Lee enjoys hiking, kayaking, fly fishing, and traveling with his family. His favorite place to recharge is the family’s lake house in northern Michigan, where he enjoys time on the water and the opportunity to create lasting memories with family and friends.
